Switching from DbGate
TablePro has no importer for DbGate. Add each connection by hand: fill in the connection form, or paste a URL that starts with postgresql://, mysql:// or mongodb:// into File > Import > Import from URL…
- Set up an SSH tunnel on the connection’s Network tab. On the Mac, jump hosts are supported too.
- If a project keeps its database settings in a .env file, File > Import > Open Project Folder… reads them and opens the connection form filled in.
- Passwords go into the macOS Keychain, and query history starts fresh in TablePro.

DbGate Community is free and open source, and its paid editions add features such as database chat, the query designer and native backup. TablePro is free to use with every supported engine, the AI assistant and the MCP server, and a Starter or Team plan adds features such as Compare & Sync, Query Insights, Data Rewind and iCloud Sync. Is there a web version of TablePro?
No. TablePro runs on your Mac, iPhone and iPad. If your team needs a database client in the browser, DbGate also runs as a web app.
Do both work with MongoDB and Redis?
